Jabil site in Hägendorf specializes in manufacturing of complex and innovative healthcare products for Trauma, Spine and CMF, such as instruments and implants. The apprenticeship center in Hägendorf obtains knowledge and skills with young talents for our advanced future.

Jabil site in Raron specializes in the manufacturing of orthopedic plates, Schanz screws and craniomaxillofacial implants characterized by its unique, innovative and cost-effective processes like water jet cutting, forming and bulk forming technologies.

I have been working for Jabil for 20 years and in my current role as “Head of Vocational Training for the Skills Center”, I am responsible for the coordination and successful implementation of our 7 apprenticeships in the canton of Solothurn. I am proud to say we offer our 80 apprentices an excellent opportunity to start their career in one of the most exciting industries. Every day, I contribute to the sustainable development of the company and the cantonal skills shortage, which fills me with pride and satisfaction.

I have been working for Jabil for around six years.- I started with a role in Quality as Quality engineer and grew over the years through different roles and departments to Quality team leader, Senior process engineering supervisor to my current role of Process engineering manager. I am now responsible for a large team of engineers and three supervisors. As a team we are managing all the daily business of engineering like programming and tooling, maintenance and calibration, process validation and deviation investigation and providing support to the value stream with specialist of the processes.

As a CNC machinist at Jabil, what I enjoy most is working with modern CNC technology every day and being able to produce precise components. The work is varied, and there are always new technical challenges. I especially appreciate the strong team spirit and the way everyone supports each other. As an engineer and a mother, my journey has not been linear.
