Job Description

Corporate Tax Intern – Summer 2021:

Jabil offers paid summer internships in our Corporate Tax department. Corporate Tax is responsible for global tax compliance, accounting for income taxes, tax planning, audit defense, and tax research.  We team with regional tax directors and controllers around the world to manage the global tax function and are directly responsible for domestic tax functions.  Intern responsibilities may include:

  • Assist in the preparation of the U.S. federal and state tax returns
  • Assist in preparation of U.S. and international tax compliance workpapers and statements
  • Assist with preparation and support of intercompany transactions
  • Assist with the U.S. GAAP financial statement tax reporting and disclosures
  • Assist in the maintenance of internal controls and procedures in compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley § 404
  • Maintain filing system for internal records
  • Manage the regular update and distribution of internal tracking documentation
  • Assist in implementing foreign restructurings and cash redeployments
  • Remain up to date on changes in tax law, administrative and judicial decisions, and other relevant items through current technical reading
  • Ensure all sensitive and confidential information is handled appropriately
  • Flexible work schedule given potential deadlines
  • May perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned

Position Requirements:

  • Currently in pursuit of a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting with a graduation date between  Dec 2021 – June 2024 or Master’s degree with a graduation date between  Dec 2021 – June 2022
  • Adhere to all safety and health rules and regulations associated with this position and as directed by supervisor
  • Comply and follow all procedures within the company security policy

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Strong academic performance (3.0 or better GPA)
  • Demonstrated leadership experience
  • Strong interpersonal skills (verbal and written)
  • Team work mentality
  • Highly organized with attention to detail
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Proficient in MS Office
