Job Description

JOB SUMMARY

This role is within the Global Procurement Organization and is responsible for leading the Project Management activities for a key Procurement as a Service (PaaS) initiative.  The Supply Chain Project Manager will be customer facing and responsible for end-to-end customer satisfaction and successfully manage implementations, on boarding and rollout of all new customers. Liaising with internal teams/departments, such as Regional Buyers and the Global Procurement Organization, you will collaboratively develop customer requirements creating a portfolio that is costed & agreed and ensure subsequent development work is delivered as per customer expectations. 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for the flawless execution of projects
  • Manage the relationship with the client and all stakeholders
  • Establish and maintain relationships with third parties/vendors
  • Set deadlines, assign responsibilities, monitor, and summarize progress of project
  • Ensure that all projects are delivered on-time, within scope and within budget
  • Assist in the definition of project scope and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility
  • Develop a detailed project plan to monitor and track progress
  • Manage changes to the project scope, project schedule and project costs using appropriate verification techniques
  • Measure project performance using appropriate tools and techniques
  • Report and escalate to management as needed
  • Perform risk management to minimize project risks
  • Prepare reports for upper management regarding status of project
  • Strong leadership and management skills
  • Coordinate within Supply Chain and Purchasing actions to address supply chain problems
  • Adhere to all safety and health rules and regulations associated with this position and as directed by supervisor
  • Comply, follow, and enforce all procedures within the company security policy
  • May perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned

KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS

  • Proven working experience in project management
  • Excellent client-facing and internal communication skills
  • Strong problem solving, analytic, negotiation, project management and people skills are a must
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure with constantly changing priorities and deadlines
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multitasking skills
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is a plus
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, summarize information, and draw valid conclusions
  • Ability to solve practical problems with limited information
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form
  • Proficiency in use of personal computers, Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint) and e-mail skills required

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

  • Must be proficient in speaking, reading, and writing English & Mandarin.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Project Management, Procurement, or related discipline
  • 3+ years in Project Management with demonstrated experience
  • Certification by a related professional organization is preferred
  • Domestic and international travel is required
