LEAD GOS ADVANCED TECHNOLOGY ENGINEER
JOB TITLE: Lead GOS Advanced Technology Engineer
DUTIES: Serve as a Subject Matter Expert in the Material Science field, which includes Adhesives, Barriers, and Interface Materials. Represent Jabil Engineering Services in technical customer discussions and meetings. Work with Project Manager Engineering Services in the quoting process. Provide technical input to help identify and solve project risks that may affect overall project plans and schedules. A typical project involves advanced manufacturing process development, product improvement, or product development. Support the development and utilization of processes for design of Value Add Value Engineering (VAVE). At the appropriate process phase gates, drive the delivery of a complete design package to be entered into our Product Data Management (PDM) system, consisting of requirements and design documentation, databases, Bill of Materials (BOMs), etc. Drive the delivery of a complete VAVE analysis to be delivered to the customer, consisting of detailed proposals, cost impacts, risk levels, pros/cons, models, etc. Lead all elements of design/VAVE engineering, including design reviews, design verification requirement, development of specifications, implementation, supply chain and supplier feedback, requirements for implementation, and transfer to design and manufacturing team. Mentors Senior Engineers and more junior positions. Stay abreast of the latest technology and techniques to provide designs that are competitive and cost effective. Support management in identifying internal and external resources to support product development/analysis.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering, Material Science, or in a closely related field, or foreign equivalent. 7 years of experience in a manufacturing or development environment. Experience to include each of the following: 7 years leading cross-business initiatives to implement new technologies; 7 years mentoring and training technicians, engineers, and co-workers in advanced technology; and, 7 years in supervising the design and implementation of experiments/tests and problem solving in advanced technology research and development.
OTHER: Work Location: 10900 Roosevelt Boulevard, St. Petersburg, FL 33716. Employer will allow for incumbent to work remotely from home office within a reasonable commuting distance from the company office up to 2 days per week; 40 hours/week; Up to 25% travel required.
