Job Description

JOB SUMMARY
Jabil’s Communications and Content Coordinator is responsible for researching various technology, Internet of Things and supply chain topics; interviewing subject matter experts (SMEs) across the organization; and creating content for numerous media formats.

This individual will be the primary content creator for Jabil’s Blog, writing long-form articles to support Jabil’s business goals and help establish trust with our numerous audiences. This person will also work closely across the wider communications and brand strategy team to ensure that the content is engaging and consistent across all media platforms.

The ideal person for this role should have superb writing skills, show a keen eye for detail and be highly creative. Having an interest in the technologies that are transforming the world are a plus. In an average week, the individual in this role can expect to dedicate 70% of their time to content creation, 20% to email management and 10% to social media responsibilities.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Write and edit content for various internal and external communications initiatives, including, but not limited to articles, research reports, white papers, video scripts, email copy and presentations.

  • Stay on top of search engine optimization (SEO) best practices and effectively implement them into all relevant content.

  • Coordinate with the communications and brand strategy leadership and team, marketing leads and SMEs to ensure the timely delivery of assignments.

  • Coordinate the ongoing maintenance and quality control for content on Jabil’s Blog.

  • Keep up-to-date with B2B content trends and advancements in technology.

  • Proofread and edit content for thought leadership initiatives and others as needed.

  • Manage the Jabil Blog’s email subscriber list and create weekly newsletters to support ongoing engagement.

  • Create content for social media and manage the corporate Twitter account for maximum engagement on the platform. 

  • Proactively identify new and enhanced ways for the Communications Department to support Jabil’s employee and business needs.

  • Coordinate additional projects in support of Jabil’s employee and business needs, as needed.

  • May perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS AND KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor's degree in literature, journalism, communications, marketing or a similar field.

  • 1-3 years of experience in content creation, corporate communications, marketing or a similar field.

  • A portfolio showcasing your writing samples, specifically in long-form writing, to be provided with your initial application.

  • Excellent writing skills, with expertise focused on producing engaging, quality, AP-Style materials that deliver the intended message(s).

  • Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills to work with a wide range of individuals/groups from culturally diverse audiences.

  • Ability to manage multiple initiatives and projects in a fast-paced environment, while sticking to deadlines.

  • Skill in interviewing people at varying levels across the organization and gathering/synthesizing information from many sources.

  • Ability to use a variety of personal computer software applications, including Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook.

  • Background in manufacturing, supply chain or similar field a plus.
