Responsible for marketing Jabil’s products and/or services with well-qualified prospects. Generates prospective customers through cold calling. Sends marketing/sales literature to prospective clients, keeps up-to-date knowledge of the industry as well as competitive posture of the company, and enhances awareness in the targeted business community of the company as well as products/services. Responsible for ensuring the smooth flow of information and follow-up for existing and prospective customers.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
· Researches potential customers in new industries, as well as designated accounts and target potential customers. Acquires/generates qualified business leads.
· Profiles potential accounts and develops appropriate value proposition. Develops a plan to reach desired results.
· Cold calls, engages with and develops prospects to be closed by Sales team
· Documents, tracks and monitors all leads and activities in sales tracking software (Salesforce.com)
· Contacts and schedules appointments with senior management and/or executives in target market(s).
· Acquires in-depth knowledge of Jabil’s full range of services and products and convey that knowledge to potential clients, adhering to company messaging and positioning.
· Collaborates with market reaserch analyst(s) to identify and source potential leads.
· Nurtures longer-term prospects. Assists and maintains marketing efforts for lead generation.
· Follows-up with prospects who responded to marketing programs and campaigns to qualify lead.
· Utilizes internal information and consults with various support departments to complete customer surveys.
· Distributes and analyzes sales reports for trends and follow-up requirements.
· Generates monthly reports for the sales group(s) as needed.
· Assists with and maintains marketing efforts for lead generation.
· Assists remote sales managers/directors with information requests as needed.
· Assists in customer contact and organization of customer tours and visits as needed.
· Complies with and follows all procedures within the company security policy.
· May perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
· Strong self-directed, cold prospecting, research and persuasion skills.
· Excellent probing and listening skills to uncover the prospect’s “pain”.
· Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
· Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
· Ability to operate a personal computer including using a Windows based operating system and related software.
· Advanced PC skills, including training and knowledge of Jabil’s software packages.
· Ability to write simple correspondence. Read and understand visual aid.
· Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple one- or two-step instructions.
· Ability to deal with standardized situations with only occasional or no variables.
· Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
· Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
· Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret graphs.
Manage distribution channels and direct customers. Become an SME on products and services and capable of moving into a business development in 3-5 years
