Benefits and Wellness Analyst  


The Benefits Analyst is a member of the Human Resources Benefits team. This role provides support for a variety of functions relating to benefits, wellness and leave administration. This role is accountable for researching, analyzing, and administering benefit plans/programs. This role will interact with employees, HR Business Partners, HRIS, Payroll, third-party carriers, vendors, and brokers.

·        Administration and education of employee benefit and insurance programs including medical, prescription, dental, vision, wellbeing, life, disability, tax-advantaged accounts, and supplemental voluntary plans.
·         Support the enrollment process including testing, data file troubleshooting, auditing, and communications. Troubleshoot escalated issues with employees, carriers, and Administrators

·         Investigate and respond to requests for benefits information such as plan provisions, eligibility, and enrollment. Interact between internal teams and external service providers to troubleshoot escalated issues, resolve, and communicate effectively and timely

·         Support benefits activities including new hire onboarding and on-going benefit education to employees.

·         Review employee benefit communications and support maintenance of employee portal

·         Support leave of absence administration (FMLA, short-term disability, paid family leaves)   

·         Support wellness/wellbeing programs and administration 

·         Support COBRA, Flexible Spending and Health Savings Account administration  

·         Support vendor invoice processing

·         Support documentation of department procedures and participate in projects as needed


·         Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
·         3-5 years of progressive employee benefits administration

·         Knowledge of applicable Federal and State laws, regulations and policies pertaining to employee benefits (ie., ERISA, HIPAA, FMLA, ACA, COBRA, etc.)
·         Experience with HRIS, benefit, payroll, and reporting systems including Workday. Knowledge of how systems interface with third-party vendor systems

·         Experience with MS Office Suite

·         Excellent interpersonal communication, teamwork, and customer service skills.

·         Ability to establish and maintain effective trusting working relationships and maintain high levels of quality and confidentiality
