Agile Test Automation Developer

Job Summary

The Test Automation Developer working with the Software Quality Assurance analysts in an Agile Team on specific products ensuring a working, bug-free solution high quality with manual - and automated testing.

Manage the testing effort for approved requirements according to the acceptance criteria in an AGILE environment. Participates in Agile team activities to review and discuss requirements, to verify the testing effort, to develop and execute automated test scripts, report defects on Scrum board.

 

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Understand and embrace the business and IT strategic direction
  • Collaborate with key resources to understand software requirements
  • Write and execute test scripts in Jabil standard framework according to the standards and following the principles to cover the acceptance criteria
  • Tackle and solve challenging problems
  • Communicate product defects to SCRUM team and record bug for tracking purpose
  • Validate bug fixes and conduct regression tests
  • Contribute to reports describing defects and resolutions
  • Documentation for technical and non-technical audiences
  • Demo test results to Product Owner
  • Follow SDLC process for QA testing
  • Assure system standards and application security procedures are followed when executing tests
  • Actively work in Agile environment as being a valuable member of a Scrum team
  • Contributing with an Agile mindset of open collaboration, frequent communication, providing timely feedback to team members and management, creative & proactive problem solving, and adapting to change quickly
  • Coordinating with the test automation team
  • Always pay attention on the improvement areas, continuously develop itself and the test automation
  • Using English as a primary verbal and written communication
  • Consult and cooperate with team members, counterparts at the corporate and in other regions
  • Mentoring, supporting teammates

 

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in Test automation developer or similar role
  • Previous experience in Selenium and/or MAQS framework
  • Practical experience with UI testing
  • Ability to understand complex requirements and translate it to executable tests
  • Structured, process driven, pragmatic problem solver approach
  • Good understanding of AGILE methodology
  • Good influencing and communication skills
  • Experience with working in a multicultural environment
  • Fluent in English

 

Advantage

  • Valid ISTQB Certification
  • Valid AWS Certification
  • Master’s Degree in Computer Science or related field
  • Prior experience in an SQA role covering Manufacturing Execution System (MES) in a discrete manufacturing environment
  • Azure DevOPS test suit experience
  • Previous experience in performance testing
  • Basic experience in TSQL (select, join)
  • Practical experience with API testing (Postman)
