Job Description

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Manages and coordinates Engineering and Maintenance for a Work Cell through a team of engineers and technicians to meet production requirements consistent with Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, and Personnel needs. 

All activities referred to as production needs or requirements encompass S, Q, D, C, and P as noted above

Responsible for managing resources across shifts to meet production requirements.

Align team goals and objectives with Work Cell production activities and assist in establishing production priorities for products and processes in keeping with production needs and Work Cell Manager (WCM) expectations. 

Monitor Work Cell performance and drive the team to continuously improve in key operational metrics and the achievement of the organizational goals.

Manages, coordinates, and executes the principles of Project management, methods, tools and techniques for effective planning in alignment with functional reporting to the Engineering Manager.

Schedules, organizes, runs, integrates and wraps up projects within the expected scope and time frame, either by personally carrying them out or assigning them to subordinates.

Implements systems and procedures to make sure that the equipment and machinery are in working order and within spec. Verifies machinery and equipment requirements based on production schedules, and coordinates with engineering team to define capital requirements for the improvement of production processes.

Review, resolve, and sign off NCs and deviations assigned to the team.  Monitor the quality system to recognize and fix repetitive problems immediately.  Promote root cause analysis to solve chronic problems in quality and operational areas.

Responsible for equipment and process validation for any changes and improvements in the Work Cell.

PERFORMANCE MANAGEMENT:

Responsible for managing performance and resolving any issues with employees.

Perform team member evaluations professionally and on time.

Coordinate activities of large teams and keep them focused in times of crisis.

Ensure recognition and rewards are utilized to promote engagement in area of responsibility.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

Must display deep technical knowledge on equipment operation, application, and equipment maintenance, as well as equipment calibration standards, tools and documentation control systems within a regulated manufacturing environment.

Knowledge of principles and methods, tools and techniques of project management and problem solving.

Good leadership skills and interpersonal relations skills.

Excellent oral and written skills.

Good project management skills, process improvement skills using lean and six sigma, and demonstrated ability to track and improve processes.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

B.S. in Engineering (any specialty)

Master of Science (recommended)

Prefer (8-10) years related experience

The anticipated pay range for this role is $65,454 - $94,849 - $124,243. Job-related, non-discriminatory factors used to determine the actual offered rate include qualifications and experience, geographic location, education, external market data, and consideration of internal equity.
