Job Description
JOB SUMMARY
Intermediate-level position that provides support to one or more functional areas of Human Resources such as employment, benefits or training. Serves as a customer point of contact for employees, answers routine questions and escalates employee issues to higher levels when necessary.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
· Responsible for Tier 1 HR support which includes all HR related questions.
· Administers leaves of absence to include medical disability, FMLA/CFRA, PDL, personal, etc.
· Maintains tuition reimbursement program & tracking of costs. Reporting analysis on a quarterly basis.
· Administers workers’ compensation to include maintaining workers’ comp files, reporting of claims, updating Cal Osha log,
· Assists in New Hire Orientation to include preparing all hire packets.
· Conducts post-employment screening to include I9 and E Verify processing.
· Responsible for vetting and processing Employee Change Forms (ECF) and Bonuses
· Supports AAP program compliance such as maintenance of I-9 records, EEO-1 reporting, and employee tracking logs etc. .
· Updates & maintains all employee training records in HRIS database.
· Administers training for New Hires and yearly mandatory refresher training through LMS. Maintains ELT Corporate Ethics compliance database & reporting updates.
· Acts as Program administrator for Corp AMEX administration.
· Supports corporate level activities such as company sponsored events, lunch & learn sessions & other HR Programs.
· Maintains all employee files & confidential files to include all scanning for the department.
· Responsible for maintenance of HR intranet with current updated information.
· Maintains HR information centers, order department supplies & forms, etc.
· Comply and follow all procedures within the company security policy.
· May perform other duties and responsibilities assigned.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS
· Working knowledge of federal, state and local employment legislation.
· Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
· Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
· Ability to operate a personal computer including using a Windows based operating system and related software.
· Advanced PC skills, including training and knowledge of Jabil’s software packages.
· Ability to write simple correspondence. Read and understand visual aid.
· Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple one- or two-step instructions.
· Ability to deal with standardized situations with only occasional or no variables.
· Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
· Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
· Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret graphs.
· Proficiency in use of personal computers, Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word and PowerPoint) and e-mail skills required.
