Job Description


Direct the overall function of technology and information systems.


Leadership and Executive Management
Recruitment and Retention:
·         Recruit, interview and hire Information Services Reporting Manager.
·         Communicate criteria to recruiters for Information Services Reporting Manager position candidates.
·         Coach Information Services staff in the interviewing/hiring process.
·         Monitor team member turnover; identify key factors that can be improved; make improvements.
Employee and Team Development:
·         Identify individual and team strengths and development needs on an ongoing basis.
·         Create and/or validate training curriculum in area of responsibility.
·         Coach and mentor Information Services staff to deliver excellence to every internal and external customer.
·         Create and manage succession plans for Information Services function.
Performance Management:
·         Establish clear measurable goals and objectives by which to determine individual and team results (i.e. operational metrics, results against project timelines, training documentation, attendance records, knowledge of operational roles and responsibilities, personal development goals).
·         Solicit ongoing feedback from Business Unit, peers and team member on team member’s contribution to the team. Provide ongoing coaching and counseling to team member based on feedback.
·         Express pride in staff and encourage them to feel good about their accomplishments.
·         Perform team member evaluations professionally and on time.
·         Drive individuals and the team to continuously improve in key operational metrics and the achievement of the organizational goals.
·         Coordinate activities of large teams and keep them focused in times of crises.
·         Ensure recognition and rewards are managed fairly and consistently in area of responsibility.
·         Provide weekly communication forum for the exchange of ideas and information with the department.
·         Organize verbal and written ideas clearly and use an appropriate business style.
·         Ask questions; encourage input from staff.
·         Assess communication style of individual team members and adapt own communication style accordingly.
·         Know and understand the Division & Corporate strategic directions.
·         Define, develop and implement an Information Services strategy, which contributes to the Division & Corporate strategic directions.
·         Develop an understanding of the workcell business strategy as it pertains to Information Services.
·         Provide regular updates to Business Unit on the execution of the strategy.


Business Strategy and Direction:

·         Know and understand the Division & Corporate strategic directions.
·         Define, develop and implement an Information Services strategy, which contributes to the Division & Corporate strategic directions.
·         Develop an understanding of the workcell business strategy as it pertains to Information Services.
·         Provide regular updates to Business Unit on the execution of the strategy.

Cost Management:
·         Identify creative ways to reduce cost by streamlining processes and systems (i.e. modification of responsibilities or consolidation of tasks, elimination of non-value-added processes, or complete re-engineering of processes and systems).
·         Utilize tools to monitor departmental cost and cost trends, striving continuously to improve value.
·         Provide feedback to peers on cost and cost trends.

Forecast Development and Accuracy:
·         Prepare timely forecasts for the department.
·         Compare forward forecast results to historical actual results for trend assessment and analysis.


·         Work with the business users and organizational groups to develop solutions to business processes.
·         Define information systems requirements.
·         Ensure internal customers needs analysis is in alignment with business initiatives.
·         Ensure metrics are defined, valid and shared with all parties.
·         Ensure that projects are scheduled, planned to achieve the right balance of roadmap/strategic developments and necessary ongoing enhancements to maintain the integrity of the application/infrastructure.
·         Proactively drive continuous improvement throughout the enterprise through enhancements to the application infrastructure, processes & knowledge transfer.

·         Be proficient and knowledgeable in all areas related to the IT department functions.
·         To maintain discretion and confidentiality in all areas pertaining to the IT systems.

·         Adhere to all safety and health rules and regulations associated with this position and as directed by supervisor.
·         Comply and follow all procedures within the company security policy.

·         Excellent communication skills
·         Advanced PC skills, including training and knowledge of Jabil’s software packages in an integrated system such as SAP.
·         Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
·         Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
·         Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
·         Leadership/people-management skills
·         Strong knowledge of global and regional logistics operations and industry.
·         Strong proficiency in determining logistics requirements to enable company’s business goals and objectives with ability to devise and implement strategy to achieve targets.
·         Strong financial and analytical ability. Proficiency in managing business analytics to determine optimum company footprint.
·         Strong knowledge of international direct and indirect taxes as well as global customs regimes.
·         Proven track record of successful change management accomplishments, implementing and management continuous productivity and cost reduction programs.
·         Strong and convincing communication skills.
·         Proficiency in use of personal computers, Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word and PowerPoint) and e-mail skills required.

Leading an Enterprise IT Application & Integration systems team to plan, develop & implement ERP, Quality, Engineering & Manufacturing Systems and define related architecture & processes. You will partner with business stakeholders and site teams to gain a deep understanding of each functional team's key information system needs and related workflows. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter who has past Life Science CGMP & regulatory experience, thrives in a dynamic, demanding, and rapidly changing environment and who is adept at defining, refining, and executing a detailed IT integration plan for the company's information systems.

Crucially the successful candidate will have knowledge and experience across the following Domains:

ERP - SAP and connected eco-systems

Product Life Cycle Management - with systems such as Windchill & Agile,

Manufacturing systems (Critical Manufacturing, Maximo or equivalent manufacturing systems)

Quality management systems (Windchill, ETQ, Compliance-wire).


  • IT Leadership and Program Management Accountable for providing technical direction and oversight to application & integration teams during complete life cycle development of projects to ensure the delivery of solutions that meet the accepted regulatory, quality & best-in-class industry standards. 
  • Establish IT Team goals, objectives, and operating procedures. 
  • Ensure staff are engaged actively and are productive through project and operational work and that communication channels are open to engage with necessary domains in the most productive fashion. 
  • Provide continuous, timely and relevant fact-based feedback to staff. 
  • Monitor and hold staff accountable to resolve and manage conflict in the most efficient and a timely manner. 
  • Prepare written documentation such as detailed project plans, process flowcharts and narratives that define systems, problems, and solutions designed to enhance or resolve business situations 
  • Interview end-users to understand and document business functional requirements 
  • Translate end-user requirements into detailed Application and\or program specifications that are provided to partners & programmers (both internal and external) for systems development 
  • Ensure work with end-users is completed to develop, document, and execute systems test plans to ensure applications & programs meet systems & regulatory (21CFR P11) requirements.
  • Prepare and maintain operating and capital budgets for assigned teams. Working with finance and accounting, review variances and document in an appropriate format to support monthly forecasting. 
  • Manage third party relationships, including, but not limited to, contract negotiations, delivery of agreed upon service levels, periodic service reviews and information sharing with the goal of maintaining a cohesive partnership. 
  • Plan, monitor and prepare to forecast and renew all contracts in working with relevant groups within the organization, including legal to meet contractual obligations in the most cost-effective and timely manner. 
  • Assess and communicate risks associated with IT plans & investments. 
  • Provide technical leadership and deliver operational excellence. 
  • Program Management must include ability to drive and facilitate alignment of SAP, QMS, MES & PLM programs and projects with priorities and directional oversight. 
  • Create a culture of continuous improvement of the SAP and manufacturing systems operations. 
  • Continue to enhance regular Application operating metrics, identify actions to improve & develop stakeholder communication plans.
  • Requires capability to manage multiple and concurrent projects spread across multiple manufacturing systems and sites. 
  • Identify additional Operational Excellence improvement projects, agree a priority with business stakeholders and manage the SAP team to deliver identified benefits. 

  Responsible for execution and governance:

  • Provide expert counsel and guidance to IT & Business Leadership on information systems and its impact across the full range of business strategy, programs, products and services, and operational issues. Forge strong relationship with key business leaders across the Company. 
  • Establish IT and data governance practices, policies, and procedures
  • Key contributor to develop and maintain the information systems roadmap, owns execution of the detailed integration plan, owns strategy for the architecture across the span of enterprise applications and platforms to ensure business goals are met in the most efficient manner-cost, time and resources 
  • Develop short- and long-term plans in alignment with and support for Jabil’s synergy strategies and goals, business plans, opportunities, products, and operating requirements and efficiencies;
  • Seek funding for technology driven initiatives that have strategic value and attractive rates of return.
  • Responsible for leading a phase gate review process and conference room pilot in the application life cycle to engage with business and various IT partner teams to ensure the system being implemented and\or developed meets the documented business criteria, regulatory and quality specifications.

    Education & Experience Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or Management Information Systems.
  • Plus 6 to 8 years experience in a relevant Jabil IT position.
  • M&A Experience
  • Advanced knowledge of project management and building system solutions and/​or business applications. ​
  • PMP certified or equivalent experience
  • EDI and systems integration experience 
  • Very strong writing, negotiation and presentation skills.​ 
  • Collaborative, customer-focused and able to create visible value.​​ 
  • Disposition to undertake global travel.
  • Experience operating in an FDA & ISO (13485) regulated environment and understanding of CSV & CSA processes.
