Job Description

JOB SUMMARY
The Electronics Diagnostic Technician is an onsite position at the St. Pete, FL facility. Responsible for the in-circuit verification testing, diagnosing and repairing of electronic circuit board assemblies.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
·         Diagnose and repair opens, shorts, and Boundary scan failures to component level on electronic circuit board assemblies.
·         Exhibit proficiency in the use of electronic test and measurement equipment.
·         Ability to understand and utilize assembly documentation such as but not limited to the following; Schematics, BOM’s, Visuals, Debug, Testing tools and procedures.
·         Assist Test Engineering department in an ongoing data evaluation program for improving the efficiency of the diagnosis of assemblies.
·         Understand, recognize and execute Jabil production requirements, rules, policies and procedures.
·         Work as a team member to achieve Diagnostic department’s process yield goals.
·         Adhere to all safety and health rules and regulations associated with this position and as directed by supervisor.
·         Comply and follow all procedures within the company security policy.
·         May perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
 

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Individual may be required to sit, stand or walk. Reaching, bending, loading, and unloading of boards and reels is mandatory, as is lifting of up to 35 lbs. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and use of microscope and/or magnifying glass.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. Individual’s primary workstation is located on the manufacturing floor. The noise level in the work environment is moderate.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Must be available to work M-F (3pm-11pm)

  • Minimum 1 year of experience troubleshooting electronics at the component level

  • 2 years of education or equivalent experience in electronics or electrical engineering preferred

  • Knowledge of ohms law
