Job Description


Position assists professional staff and managers of Risk Management in identifying, transferring and funding the property and casualty risks of the corporation by accumulating and reporting data that accurately quantifies the risk exposures and loss experience of the business activities. Communicates with middle management of internal and external customers to obtain and verify the integrity of exposure data for the development of insurance policies.


  • Assist in the completion of insurance applications for all insurance lines, e.g., property, casualty, cargo, aviation.

  • Compile exposures values such as Payroll, Insured Property, Sales, Headcount, Vehicles, etc. for insurance underwriting purposes.

  • Communicate with insurance brokers in the insurance renewal processes.

  • Participate in the marketing of insurance programs in the open insurance market.

  • Organize, maintain, and optimize the Risk Management Information System database.

  • Collect and analyze exposure data and compare to prior years to drive accuracy, and for underwriting purposes.

  • Develop spreadsheets, presentations and reports which summarize exposure data.

  • Benchmark industry best practices and maintain world class management processes and procedures.

  • Receive and review requests for certificates of insurance and correspond with brokers and internal clients in processing certificate requests.

  • Maintain Jabil Insurance Coverage Explorer (ICE) to track all historical Jabil insurance policies, and obtain and update ICE with missing policies.

  • May perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.


  • Knowledge of insurance industry standard practices.

  • General knowledge and understanding of business practices.

  • Advanced PC skills, including Excel (VLOOKUP and Pivot Tables) and Microsoft Office. Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.

  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs

  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.

  • Intermediate to advanced knowledge of relational database management, including SQL and XML. Java Scripting capabilities a plus.


  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Risk Management or related field.

  • One (1) to two (2) years experience in Risk Management preferred

  • Or an equivalent combination of education, training or experience.
