Job Description
JOB SUMMARY
Responsible for assisting the investigation of component, manufacturing, and field return issues through prompt, aggressive root cause analysis under limited supervision.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manufacturing Assembly SMT and Thru-hole process and Testing knowledge on electronic products required.
- Knowledge of the operation of a variety of specialized Failure Analysis techniques.
- Understand the use, operation, and result interpretation of cross section, Dye and Pry, strain gauge, Ionic Contamination, SEM - EDX, X-RF and other analytical Lab techniques.
- Skills to perform electrical analysis at component level, IC chips and semiconductor technologies.
- Understand how to safely work with chemicals, epoxies, acrylics.
- Continually develop/ master grinding and polishing skills.
- Responsible of document written reports and achieve a conclusion of the analysis according to the failure mode.
- Ability to understand and utilize assembly documentation such as but not limited to the following: Schematics, Visuals, Debug, Testing tools and procedures.
- Demonstrate flexibility and a sense of urgency in responding to escalation of FA requests.
- Adhere to all safety and health rules and regulations associated with this position and as directed by supervisor.
- Comply and follow all procedures within the company security policy.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS
- Technical degree in electronic, mechatronic, electrical, chemical, or related discipline and/or equivalent experience.
- Device understanding of circuit elements to include transistors, diodes, capacitors, and resistors.
- Knowledge of electrical circuits.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to reach logical conclusion given a set of facts.
- Intellectual curiosity.
- Can-do attitude, independent and able to work in a cross functional team.
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple one- or two-step instructions.
- Writing and reading on technical English Language.
