Job Description

Jabil EMS (Electronic Manufacturing Services) Ireland, Blanchardstown Dublin 15, are hiring a Procurement Coordinator to join our purchasing team. The purpose of the Procurement Coordinator will be to perform a wide variety of duties to provide assistance and support to the Procurement Department to fill stocking levels or sales / repair requests.

Key Responsibilities and End Results:

  • Maintaining accurate and up to date information on SAP.
  • Tracks and provides supporting data to BOM to clearly define customer liable materials. Executes and maximize Jabil negotiated terms with suppliers to reduce materials liability.
  • Analyzes, maintains, and execute Materials Requirement Plan (MRP).
  • Continuously monitors and verify materials pipeline to ensure it meets the MRP requirements.
  • Expediting outstanding POs and ensure up to date information on all POs is available.
  • Goods receipt processing and supplier account query investigation.
  • Assist the team with reporting as and when required.
  • Manage and resolve accounts queries as and when they arise.
  • Maintain integrity of master data and purchasing planning parameters to minimize material liability and to balance the cost of procurement with inventory investment levels.
  • Support Accounts Payable in resolving invoice discrepancies.
  • Minimize materials freight expenses for Jabil.
  • Monitor materials in transit/logistics and ensure delivery / receipt is aligned with production requirements.
  • Assist with cycle counts.
  • Perform other administrative duties and provide support as directed by the Purchasing Manager, including ad-hoc projects.
  • May perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Person specification:

  • Computer literate with intermediate / Advanced MS Office skills.
  • Highly motivated and enthusiastic individual with strong communication and interpersonal skills and ability to work with cross functional teams.
  • Propensity to learn in a fast-paced environment with flexibility and openness to change.
  • Strong planning & organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in the English language is a requirement alongside eligibility to work in Ireland.
  • Proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • A “can do” work ethic with excellent problem-solving skills.

Essential criteria

  • Third level qualification in Business Administration, Purchasing, Supply Chain or similar. May substitute educational requirements in lieu of experience.
  • 1-2 years purchasing experience in a similar role.
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills are essential, with SAP MRP experience desirable.
  • Strong internal & external customer focus.
