JOB SUMMARY - Director, Market Intelligence: Product & Sales - Remote US


Jabil has an established Supply Chain & Procurement Services business that provides customers with end-to-end service offerings including Purchasing Services for Indirect & Direct Material, Supply Chain as a Service, Logistics Services, Procurement Technology Integration Services and Market Intelligence.

Under Market Intelligence, Jabil provides Global Procurement Intelligence built upon the extensive knowledge and domain expertise of our procurement and supply chain teams. Currently Jabil offers two intelligence services and solutions:

  • Global Commodity Intelligence services and solutions: View of electronic components, systems, and associated commodities (Semiconductors, Passive Components, Memory & Storage, Metals and Materials)​.
  • Global Indirect Category Intelligence services and solutions: Analysis of enterprise indirect spend categories such as MRO, CapEx, Infrastructure, Technology, Contingent Labor, Source to Pay, Global Logistics, Trade and Material Compliance.

The Director of Market Intelligence, Product & Sales will be responsible for managing all aspects of the offering with particular focus on: product roadmap (e.g. features of the online version, creation of new reports), report preparation coordination, managing existing sales channels, identifying and setting up new sales channels, supporting the Jabil teams in creating sales pipeline transparency, managing renewal process, and managing the sales funnel update, pricing and customer feedback. You will work collaboratively with the teams that prepare the content, with the leadership team that brings it to market and with the support functions that enable the execution (marketing, sales, IT, finance). You will develop and sponsor tactics to achieve strategic objectives (e.g., further revenue growth) through customer interaction, benchmarking, influence strategic direction, develop tactical plans, and complete complex assignments with minimal supervision or review.  Extensive contact with internal leadership, sales partner teams and external customers is required to obtain, clarify or provide facts and information.

IN YOUR ROLE YOU WILL
 

The Director, Market Intelligence: Product & Sales will be part of the leadership team driving Jabil Supply Chain and Procurement services with the primary responsibility of managing all aspects of the Market Intelligence offering.

This is a highly cross functional role that requires working with supply chain and procurement leaders, subject matter experts (e.g., commodity managers), functional leaders, Jabil functional teams (IT, marketing, Sales).

The primary responsibilities will be:

  • Creating and owning the product roadmap (e.g., features of the online version, creation of new reports).
  • Drive report preparation by coordinating teams that prepare the content and other team members that drive the production and publishing of the content.
  • Managing existing sales channels.
  • Identifying and setting up new sales channels.
  • Supporting the Jabil teams in creating sales pipeline transparency, managing renewal process, and managing the sales funnel update.
  • Benchmark and manage pricing.
  • Engage with selected customers to gather feedback, ensuring customers know how to use the reports/solutions, create training material if needed.
  • Manage the domain experts if customers require access to targeted expertise (e.g., get customers to speak to our experts).
  • Manage the annual renewal process based on usage analytics and “delivered value.”


JOB QUALIFICATIONS & KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS

  • Previous experience managing market intelligence products and solutions.
  • Product management and product strategy.
  • Demonstrated ability to work and collaborate across functions. Ability to influence cross-functional teams across all levels of the organization and work collaboratively in a matrixed environment.
  • Strong quantitative and qualitative business analytic skills, including ability to turn analysis into actionable recommendations with measurable business impact.
  • Leadership/people-management skills.
  • Strong communication and influencing skills.
  • Ability to create/edit content.
  • Contract knowledge fundamentals.
  • Sales knowledge fundamentals (e.g., pipeline management).
  • Proficiency in managing business analytics and financials.
  • A bias for action, including balancing tradeoffs, a willingness to roll up their sleeves and do what it takes to get things done.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor's Degree required. Master’s Degree preferred.  Degree in Engineering, Finance/Accounting, or Business Management preferred.
  • 7+ years work-related experience required in monetizing and managing market intelligence products and services; additional product management and channel sales experience preferred.
