Job Description
JOB SUMMARY
The Operations SME will be responsible for driving operational excellence at mega site & regional level.
Supporting continuous improvement of products & processes, driving standards & ensuring the effectiveness of all our systems
Partnering with varying Operation and IT teams on determining the most optimum process and system changes while taking the lead on the planning, design, and implementation phases
The role is weighted towards PDM system data and expertise, integrations, and interactions with all the downstream service delivery systems. i.e. Valor, Fuji, MES, JEMSmm, setup sheets, production, production planning, materials pull list & consumption.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Be creative and proactive contributor within the team, always focused on continuous improvement.
Improving quality, reducing costs & NVA by optimizing processes and systems, e.g., consolidation of tasks, standardization, elimination of non-value-added processes, application enhancements and integrations.
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
Lead and evaluate cross-functional projects with in-depth knowledge of various functions.
Collaborate with stakeholders and define project scope.
Define and release project Key Performance Indicators and manage the work within scope, quality, time and cost constraints
Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers.
Support and introduce new technologies from Digital Factory team
Support and define JEMSpd & all Digital Factory short/long term goals
Lead as Subject Matter Expert in all global & regional DF systems and applications
Coach, mentor, and train resources within the DF team & other functional teams as required
May perform other duties as assigned
MANAGEMENT & SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
· Job is NOT directly responsible for managing other employees (e.g., hiring/termination and/or pay decisions, performance management).
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS
Understanding of Jabil’s global strategies and direction
Strong operational knowledge of Jabil processes in both repetitive and BTO/CTO business.
Strong operational knowledge of JEMS eco-system i.e. JEMSpd suite (SAP PLM & Setup sheets), SAP MII, Fuji/Nexim data, JEMSco, JEMSmm.
Strong knowledge of our PDM (Product Data Management) toolset, PLM Scrubbing tool, SAP PLM, Setup sheet management and our Engineering Change management processes.
Experienced in Engineering changes related to material/BOM, AMPL, Process Changes and Deviations, and the impact on the Jabil downstream functions like planning, purchasing, materials, manufacturing & sales
Good Operational knowledge of SFMM, SFM, SAP modules, production planning and Jabil shop floor solutions
Proven record of successful accomplishments, implementing continuous improvements and cost reduction programs.
Strong and convincing communication skills.
Demonstrated ability to influence organization
Excellent problem-solving skills
Proficiency in use of personal computers, email, Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word and PowerPoint)
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor’s degree in Industrial, Process or Manufacturing Engineering, or related discipline
At least 10 years of working experience with 7 years of experience in an EMS or similar environment
Or a combination of education, experience and/or training
