Provides leadership, motivation and training to work area by supervising team members and helping them meeting the company's goals in terms of quality.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
-Assist Quality Engineer in use and creation of statistical tools in the workcell.
-Assist Quality Engineer with designing and implementation of Corrective and Preventive Actions
-Support production with trouble-shooting and defect resolution.
-Ensure capability studies are performed on critical processes.
-Perform first article inspection, review visual aids, and make updates to inspection visual aids.
-Perform defect analysis reporting.
-Perform line and product audits.
-Assist Quality Engineering in issues investigation and containment actions implementation
-Adhere to all safety and health rules and regulations associated with this position and as directed by supervisor.
-Comply and follow all procedures within the company security policy.
-Update VA's/ DCC Review/ DCC Release all Documents
-Release QPA's/ Train on Process
-Gather Obsolete Documents/ Document in JDOC
-LPA of 3 Departments
-FAI's on New Rack IPN's
-Driving and Recording QRQC's
-ESD Calibration and Ownership
-ESPC Root Cause Analysis
-Ensure Quality Standards are being met plant wide
-Data Collection for new IPN in Ifactory
-Gathering data for Engineers
-Removing and Placing Holds on Servers and Racks
-A3, Kaizen, and Blitz Projects
-FAI's at the beginning of shift for all server lines and during order changeover
-Answering all of Manufacturing Questions
-Doing all Quality Inspector Functions if needed
MANAGEMENT & SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Typically reports to the Quality Manager
• Job is NOT directly responsible for managing other employees (e.g., hiring/termination and/or pay decisions, performance management).
• Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
• Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
• Ability to operate a personal computer including using a Windows based operating system and related software.
• Advanced PC skills, including training and knowledge of Jabil’s software packages.
• Ability to write simple correspondence. Read and understand visual aid.
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple one- or two-step instructions.
• Ability to deal with standardized situations with only occasional or no variables.
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret graphs.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
• High School Degree or equivalent.
• Experience must include:
• General knowledge of electronic component handling.
• Knowledge of process flows to include flow charts and written processes.
• Reading, writing and math skills.
• Working Knowledge of Excel, Word, and Jabil system.
• Strong interpersonal skills required, with demonstrated ability to build and maintain teamwork.
• Or an equivalent combination of education, training or experience.
