Job Description

JOB SUMMARY

  • Working side-by-side with global, regional & campus Technical Business Leaders, Engineering heads to formulate technical roadmaps as supplement to overall sector Operations Long Term Plan.
  • Through collaborations with Human Resource & Finance Business Partners and Campus Functional Departments, support human capital strategies, develop Operations long term plan blueprint, and drive strategic outputs applicable only in Digital Factory, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Engineering, Quality, Lean & EHS department.
  • In times of major quality incidences, the Sr. Worcell Technical Manager will be assigned as taskforce chair to formulate problem solving & communication strategies, identify analysis plan, drive progress and act as communication tower to Jabil & customers management team.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1.Define, develop and implement sector Operations strategy contributing to overall campus strategic directions.

  • Assist with recruitment & interviewing potential talents identified for normal manager and above.
  • By collaborating with Human Resource Business Partners, assist sector Functional Managers to draft talent acquisitions requirements (competencies & characteristics, etc.) of succession plans.
  • Provide regular updates to Campus Management & Business Unit on the execution of the strategy.
  • Identify opportunities to increase organization efficiencies by streamlining processes and systems (i.e. modification of responsibilities or consolidation of tasks, elimination of non-value-added processes, digital factory, or complete re-engineering of processes and systems).
  • Integrate, prepare & connect-the-dots for sector technical roadmaps.

2.Acquire technical logical thinking & knowledges in complex problem solving, six sigma methodologies and master the usage of AIAG tools.

  • Adhere to all safety and health rules and regulations.
  • Use and analyze the Due Diligence process to assess the functional capability of sector opportunities, report findings and highlight possible risks.
  • Support functional team and conduct gap analysis to identify areas for improvement.

3. May perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS

  • Ability to solve practical problems, work with mathematical concepts (probability, statistics and geometric dimension & tolerance) and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interprets general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. 
  • Ability to draft presentation slides, technical analysis reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. 
  • Ability to effectively present and respond to queries from management, customers, and the public.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Information Technology, Computer Science (MS & MBA would be a preferred.)
  • ASQ (or equivalent) certified Six Sigma Blackbelt (Master Black Belt would be preferred).
  • Minimum 10 years’ experience in campus technical leadership.
