•Lead a small team of 2-5 members and provide coaching & training on an on-going basis to the team
•Strong understanding of strategic sourcing and category management processes
•Develop category strategies with minimal guidance from category manager
•Engage with customer’s business stakeholders throughout the category management process
•Perform market research on supplier capabilities, category trends & price benchmarking and present insights to stakeholders
•Possess expertise and experience across Indirect/Direct categories. Expertise in a specific category will be preferred
•Prepare sourcing project specific plans on MS-Excel, MS-Projects or other similar tools
•Lead complex sourcing projects across specific Direct & Indirect categories
•Co-ordinate with stakeholders to gather requirements for sourcing execution
•Independently perform sourcing activities like requirement gathering, setting up RFP & Auctions in various procurement tools, co-ordination with suppliers, supplier proposal comparative statements
•Manage complex strategic sourcing projects independently
•Guide stakeholders on auction strategies if required
•Negotiate with suppliers for low value purchases through Tail Spend Management programs
•Ensure team meets targets agreed with customers like savings, on-time execution, accuracy, etc
•Perform contract drafting activities based on templates. Assist stakeholders in red-lining activities
•Perform SRM activities like supplier financial ratings, supplier profiling, evaluations, SWOT analysis, segmentation, etc
•Create reports & dashboards for procurement leadership
