Looking for the candidates with database knowledge (SQL etc) and able to do powerBI reports to support the data analytics.

Background of materials functional knowledge is a plus


SME Project Manager is a combination of technical expert of processes, programs and systems in one or multiple functional areas as well as project manager with focus on working with functional or cross functional team to improve current business systems or/and processes.

SME Project Manager need lead continuous improvement project of medium complexity, organize training to the stakeholders, support process and system deployments and ensure communication to stakeholders among other responsibilities.

Through the implementation of S.O.S (standardization, optimization and simplification) project, SME project manager ensures business process is effectively and efficiently executed by the stakeholders with targeted benefit


  • Diagnose and identify process and system gap vs best in class operations by applying expertise in certain areas
  • Work with stakeholders to define and prioritize the improvement projects to be done to improve existing business process/system
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to define project framework and tangible goal
  • Map ‘as is’ process with proper granularity and brain storm with stakeholders and system solution team of desired future process
  • Lead the project team of business requirement documentation submission
  • Define and recognize project Key Performance Indicators and manage the work within scope, quality, time and cost constraints
  • Collaborate with stakeholders and IT solution team to define test plan with well evaluated business scenarios in relevant functional areas  
  • Conduct project risk assessment and put appropriate mitigation in place together with project team
  • Actively manage all level of stakeholders through appropriate communication plan and perform timely escalation to the next level of management when necessary
  • Forecast project budget and staff needs
  • Actively track project progress and provide timely update
  • Accountable for overall project success including cost, schedule, quality and scope management
  • Project buyoff criteria identification
  • Work with project team to develop training plan, training material and deliver necessary training sessions to ensure end users awareness and prepared for the change.
  • Coordination of other validation activities required by the project
  • Facilitates process and system changes implementation, ensure smooth project implementation with no interruption to business towards go-live schedules
  • May perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned


  • Typically reports to Management. Direct supervisor job title(s) typically include: SME Manager or Functional Manager in area of support (e.g. Materials Manager, Finance Manager, etc)
  • Job is NOT directly responsible for managing other employees (e.g., hiring/termination and/or pay decisions, performance management).   



  • Provides design support for the development of business intelligence solutions.

  • Works on medium to complex and cross-functional IT and business intelligence solutions, e.g. gathering data and analyzing business and user needs in consultation with both business managers and end users
  • Works on multiple tasks/projects as team member.
  • Works with internal and external customers and IT partners to develop and analyze business intelligence needs, and determines optimum BI solutions to meet needs.
  • Makes recommendations on BI tools selection to meet needs
  • Creates, maintains, or enhances visualization dashboards residing in different platforms, e.g. PowerBI, Tableau, and Microstrategy.
  • Working in partnership with database analysts, data architects and data scientists to deliver analytics solutions
  • Conduct training and knowledge share with support team members, deliver demos to business, and train the site users on analytics tools
  • Working closely with business users guiding them to create and maintain datasets for self-service analytics in any BI tools
  • Troubleshooting performance issues in reports and dashboards and provide guidelines and solutions on performance tunin
  • Drives continuous improvement through learning new technologies/best practices that will have an impact on the enterprise wide BI systems.
  • Communicates analysis results and makes recommendations to senior management
  • Participates in the exchange of ideas and information within the department
  • Ensures adherence to best practices throughout the Jabil organization
  • Champions and influences the development of the Jabil data analytics culture and community
    • Understand Materials standard , procedures , practice and work methodologies
    • Understanding and application of broad range of materials relevant systems and technology
    • Understanding of JOS, Quality Systems applied to internal manufacturing processes and how it is connected to materials processes and systems
    • Understanding of Jabil’s global strategies and direction
    • Proven record of accomplishment of successful change management accomplishments, implementing and management continuous improvements and cost reduction programs
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and able to do conflict management
  • Advanced PC skills including knowledge of Jabil's software packages
  • Proficient Verbal and Written English Skill
  • Knowledge and understanding of Health and Safety standards & requirements
  • Proficiency in use of personal computers, Microsoft Office products, Microsoft Visio, Microsoft Project skills required.

Education & Experience Requirements

  • Degree in Computer Science or computer related discipline preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 or more years working experience, in particular in data analytics related area
  • Advanced skills in developing Business intelligence dashboards and reports
  • Have a strong understanding of the benefit and key elements in the field of data analytics
  • Knowledge and experience in using any of the BI reporting tools – Power BI, Tableau, Microstrategy, Qlikview
  • Experience working in the field of UI/UX
  • Experience working in the field of HCI (human computer interaction)
  • Advanced skills in developing Business intelligence dashboards and reports
  • Advanced skills in Power BI, Tableau, Microstrategy
  • Good communicator
  • Sound knowledge in Cloud based technology – AWS, Azure, etc.
  • Sound knowledge in Big data technology, Hadoop, Spark, No-SQL, etc.
  • Solid knowledge in data querying scripts, e.g. SQL, MDX
  • Experience with Power Shell a plus
  • Experience with Tableau and Power BI administration a plus
  • Experience with data science related initiatives
  • Experience with Agile software development
  • Understanding of supply chain and manufacturing environments a big plus
