Gathers, analyzes, and interprets customer provided product information used to perform activities identified in engineering change notice (ECN) packages. Interfaces with internal functional stakeholders (e.g. manufacturing, engineering, work cell, supply chain, etc.) to ensure internal and customer requirements are consistently met.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Assist in the configuration/maintenance of Manufacturing Execution System, Visual Aids, Labels/Printers/Scanners, Part/Device Setups, Master Data, and all other applicable customer/product information as required.
Process customer documentation and resolve any discrepancies.
Analyze all new Bill of Materials (BOM) and Engineering Change Orders (ECO) for completeness. Resolve discrepancies through communication with the customer and all functional departments within the work cell.
Verify necessary drawings are attached to each ECO and revisions of drawings match the revisions on the BOM.
Generate the necessary internal documentation (e.g. cover sheets, change summary, BOM comparison worksheets, etc.) to process customer documentation accurately and in accordance with internal operating procedures.
Initiate an ECN Form detailing changes (e.g. adds, deletes, changes). Coordinate with the Planning and Purchasing groups to ensure that all effectivity dates, revision status, BOM changes, rework instructions are correct. Communicate changes to team and obtain all required signatures.
Communicate Engineering Change Order (ECOs) status to the customer (e.g. implementation date, etc.).
Maintain historical documents/records in accordance with internal document/record retention procedures (e.g. end-of-life BOMs, drawings, set-up sheets, visual aids, process flow charts, etc.)
Partner with applicable stakeholders to help develop and/or update Process Control Plans (PCPs)
Communicate inaccuracies to customers and obtain written approval for any subsequent changes. Elevate to the Planning Manager and Project Management, when necessary, to resolve issues.
Keep an accurate and up to date revision status sheet.
Interpret customer label specifications and capture basic label configuration information on approved templates.
Configure and maintain label information in approved repositories (e.g. MES labels).
Know and understand label nomenclature.
Assist with setup and troubleshooting for scanners and printers used in manufacturing.
Maintain training materials for users on label printing and label quality.
Manufacturing Execution System
Maintain accurate and complete customer data.
Configure new assembly package in MES defining necessary quality checkpoints, links and required tests.
Add new route steps as requested to ensure appropriate data tracking.
Support MES configuration troubleshooting activities on manufacturing floor.
Create and maintain training materials for users on MES.
Create and maintain all visual aids and process specifications.
Provide daily support for operations (e.g. manufacturing, workcell, supply chain, etc.).
Ensure that files are readily available to all appropriate departments/team members.
Adhere to all safety and health rules and regulations associated with this position and as directed by supervisor.
Comply and follow all procedures within the company security policy.
Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Associate degree in engineering or information systems or equivalent one-year experience.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all unit measures, using whole numbers, and common fractions.
Strong analytic skills and multitasking abilities as well as identifying and resolving issues with limited supervision.
Proficiency in use of personal computers, Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint) and e-mail skills required
