Program Analyst for API (or API Developer)
Essential Duties & Responsibilities.
o Assist in development and maintenance of new APIs with Service Now, Sales Force, SAP or MES
o Develop scalable modular software packages for various APIs and applications.
o Prepare sample code and applications for displaying various outcomes of API applications.
o Support technical teams in community discussions for educating members on API application functionalities.
o Design APIs that allow sophisticated, effective or low cost application integration.
o Experience with an object-oriented language
o A basic understanding of data formats such as XML, CSV, and JSON
o A basic understanding of typical integration technologies such as HTTP, JMS, JDBC, REST, and SOAP
Education & Experience Requirements
o Degree in Computer Science or 2 years of equivalent external work experience in the business area, from an IT and business perspective
o 1 to 3 years of experience with an API management software like Apigee, CA Layer 7, MuleSoft (4.0) or equivalent with the knowledge of API mashups, analytics, developer networks and API security.
o Experience of MuleSoft connectors integrating with various systems and components (such as file systems, databases, Data)
o Experience or knowledge of Dataweave 2.0
o Understanding of Internet technologies: e.g. firewalls, web servers, VPNs, load balancers
o Understanding of cloud concepts
o Familiar with API standards such as REST, SOAP, RAML, XML, JSON
o Experience integrating with enterprise systems such as SAP ERP, Axway or similar
o Some Java background would be nice - can understand log4j content, profiling or troubleshooting application code, analyze thread dumps etc
o Knowledge in basic system administration tasks in Microsoft/Linux platform
o Have knowledge on security (basic authentication/authorization, OAUTH2, SAML, Okta, SSL)
o Experience with debugging, incident management, ability to coordinate with cross functional teams for issue resolution
o Experience with AzureDevOps or Git or any other source code management
o Preferably have ERP knowledge with SAP or ERP packages (eg Oracle, BAAN
