JOB SUMMARY

The Sr ELearning Design Specialist is a member of the Learning and Development team enabling the Instructional Designer and Learning & Development Manager to support various functional areas and sites in their Talent Development strategies. The Sr ELearning Design Specialist builds highly interactive, engaging, and effective eLearning solutions. Projects may include both independent work and work as part of a team with Instructional Designers. The successful Sr ELearning Design Specialist will act as a consultant and partner to the Enterprise Learning & Development team to understand the objectives of learning solutions and make recommendations on the approach and the use of media in the solution design.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
·         Partner with Learning, SMEs and/or Instructional Designers and also work independently to build highly interactive, engaging, and effective eLearning solutions
·         Conduct a needs assessment
·         Develop instructional materials in a variety of media
·         Maintain and upgrade existing eLearning modules & assets
·         Locate appropriate graphics for use in solutions, or create custom graphics
·         Conceptualizes, designs and creates graphics and animations for learning and development projects such as online learning, instructional aids, and instructional videos
·         Creatively translates abstract concepts into effective visual and instructionally valid form in a variety of media.
·         Creates highly engaging visual and creative presentations for a variety of learning solutions.
·         Understands current color and design trends in the visual arts , working knowledge of the latest computer packages and awareness of material costs and time limits that can impact a design.
·         Record, edit, and integrate audio voiceover, sound, and music to enhance e-learning 
·         QA all aspects of e-learning modules (text, content, interactivity, functionality); conduct QA assessment and provide recommendations on vendor learning modules
·         Recommend other e-learning development tools, templates, and platforms as needed
·         Coordinate with project managers to ensure on-time delivery of eLearning modules & assets
·         Provide for the effective implementation of instructional products and programs
·         Work with a variety of personality styles to accomplish Learning and Development goals
·         Adapt solutions to fit the needs of clients, target audience and technical limitations.
·         Design within company style guidelines for logo and color usage.
·         With limited direction, prioritize, organize, and schedule own work assignments and projects.
·         Communicate routinely with and manages expectations of all stakeholders, including L&D Managers and subject-matter experts.
·         Meet or exceed customer expectations for quality and cost and achieves all deliverable deadlines and/or provides rationale in advance about why the requested deadline is not achievable.
·         Manages localization and translation of learning content and deploy courses/content.
·         Performs additional duties as needed and assigned
·         May perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS


·         Proficiency in eLearning authoring tools


·         Capable of thinking innovatively, strategically and conceptually, collaborating when necessary to generate ideas and solve problems

·         Demonstrates ability to collaborate with others, manage projects and drive to deadlines.

·         Establishes and maintains cooperative working relationships.

·         Works collaboratively with clients and team members to create sound solutions.

·         Takes initiative to drive projects to completion.

·         Able to work independently under tight deadlines and coordinate multiple projects simultaneously

·         Able to adapt concepts that are applicable to whichever medium best serves the project.

·         Demonstrates initiative to research and learn new software and adapt to changes in technology.

·         Able to work well under pressure and adapt to ever-changing scenarios.

·         Must have strong design skills and be able to self-manage a project from concept to completion and work in concert with others.

·         Proficiency in use of personal computers, Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word and Powerpoint) and e-mail skills required.
Preferred skills:
·         Experience in Graphic Software s
·         Experience with 2D and 3D animation
·         Experience with Flash
