JOB SUMMARY

Support the globalization of business through leading and coordinating the standardization of systems, procedures and policies across all of the Jabil workcells.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

·         Lead and coordinate the standardization of systems, procedures and practices across all of the Jabil workcells.
·         Ensure that current and future quality and manufacturing systems meet and/or exceed customer and regulatory requirement.
·         Review and promote improvement in customer metrics to ensure customer satisfaction.
·         Act as a liaison between Jabil sites for program transfers including providing input into transfer plans and timelines, supporting data and knowledge transfer activities and participating in launch activities as needed.
·         Provide support and technical assistance to new facility and/or workcell startups.

·         Provide mentoring and technical assistance to direct reports and Jabil site Quality Managers and staff.

·         Provide mentoring and technical assistance to direct reports and Jabil site manufacturing engineering staff.
·         Coach/Lead direct reports and workcell resources.
·         Ensure all sensitive and confidential information is handled appropriately.
·         Adhere to all safety and health rules and regulations associated with this position and as directed by supervisor.
·         Comply and follow all procedures within the company security policy.
·         May perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS
KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS

·         Advanced PC skills, including training and knowledge of Jabil’s software packages in an integrated system such as SAP.
·         Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
·         Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.


·         Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
·         Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry.
·         Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
·         Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
·         Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
·         Strong knowledge of global and regional logistics operations and industry.
·         Strong proficiency in determining logistics requirements to enable company’s business goals and objectives with ability to devise and implement strategy to achieve targets.
·         Strong financial and analytical ability. Proficiency in managing business analytics to determine optimum company footprint.
·         Strong knowledge of international direct and indirect taxes as well as global customs regimes.
·         Proven track record of successful change management accomplishments, implementing and management continuous productivity and cost reduction programs.
·         Strong and convincing communication skills.
·         Proficiency in use of personal computers, Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word and PowerPoint) and e-mail skills required.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

·         Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Business Management or equivalent education and training
·         6 to 8 year’s experience, including at least 5 years experience in a supervisory or management role within an engineering department.
·         Travel required.
·         Or a combination of education, experience and/or training.
