Jabil EMS (Electronic Manufacturing Services) Ireland, Blanchardstown Dublin 15, are hiring an NPI PMO Admin to join our Project Management Operations Team. The role will involve:

  • Working within the PMO Team the NPI PMO Admin is responsible for supporting and leading assigned projects and initiatives of medium to high complexity applying project management methodology to support the company and group’s strategy.
  • Supporting and managing assigned projects through the various stages of the project lifecycle, from concept to launching. This includes developing Statement of Work (SOW), business proposals, functional requirements, project plan w/milestones and implementation plan.
  • Providing management and guidance toward successful collaboration with multi-functional groups and direct project team responsible for implementation of Jabil’s strategies.
  • PMO NPI Admin will be on a clear progression path to becoming a PMO Program Manager over a six month period of coaching and training, to run standalone projects under PMO Team framework.

Key Responsibilities and End Results:

In first six months:

  • Support in defining concise goals and objectives within a group project framework
  • Ensure all project requirements and/or objectives are correctly gathered, understood, and properly translated for execution
  • Support in defining and recognizing project Key Performance Indicators and manage the work within scope, quality, time and cost constraints
  • Support in conducting project risk reviews and appropriate mitigation
  • Support in Facilitating communication as appropriate to all involved and "manage" the stakeholders This includes escalate issues to the next level of management
  • Utilize tools to track changes and identify risk and cost impact for review with senior management
  • Provide feedback to project team and leaders on concerns with cost or any updates on project progress
  • Clarifies and communicates project objectives and success criteria
  • Ensure all sensitive and confidential information is handled appropriately
  • Builds and structures integrated teams to ensure maximum performance; provides direction and motivation
  • Adhere to all safety and health rules and regulations associated with this position and as directed by supervisor
  • Comply and follow all procedures within the company security policy

After six months training and coaching:

  • Develops and owns project plan, establishing a road map with clear dates and clear deliverables
  • Drive the wider team to continuously improve in key operational metrics and the achievement of the project & organizational goals
  • Identify creative ways to implement corrective actions in cost effective manner
  • Understand and exceed customer (internal or external) needs and expectations, and project success
  • Accountable for overall project success - including cost, schedule, quality, and scope management
  • Ability to drive multi-functional teams to achieve company and/or customer objectives
  • Identify and prepare proposals that close gaps and mitigate risk
  • May perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned

Person specification:

  • Highly motivated and enthusiastic individual with strong communication and interpersonal skills and ability to work with cross functional teams.
  • Strong planning & organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in the English language is a requirement alongside eligibility to work in Ireland.
  • Proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • A “can do” work ethic with excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Strong technical background (Mechanical or electronic engineering), able to understand engineering drawings, process flow and concepts.
  • Proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, email management systems, online chat and ability to learn in-house systems quickly.

Essential criteria

  • Bachelor’s degree required. May substitute education in lieu of experience.
  • Minimum of 5+ years of experience with a minimum of 1+ year experience leading projects or multiple projects simultaneously
  • Previous experience defining, developing and implementing strategies contribute to the overall company and group strategic direction
  • Able to read engineering drawings and BOM’s (Bill Of Materials) to provide analysis for engineering and materials groups
  • Advanced PC skills and previous experience with SAP is highly advantageous.

Desired criteria

  • Experience in electronic manufacturing environment is highly desirable.
  • Experience in leading process improvements / lean manufacturing activities in a manufacturing environment is advantageous.
  • Desired experience in Management/ supervisory role
  • PMP Certification or equivalent preferred
