JOB SUMMARY

Jabil’s Communications & Brand Strategy team is looking for a paid Communications and Content Intern for the summer. The intern will get first-hand experience into managing media relations, thought leadership, social media and content development for a large, highly matrixed business-to-business (B2B) organization. The intern will have opportunities to contribute and learn through various projects and tasks, working independently and with the team to achieve specific business goals.

The ideal person for this role should have excellent writing skills, show a keen eye for detail and have a passion for the various technologies driving the future.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Write and edit content for various internal and external communications, including but not limited to articles, research reports, social media, website and internal communications channels.
  • Learn about search engine optimization (SEO) best practices and effectively implement them into all relevant content.
  • Prepare reports on the success of various content and communications initiatives, making recommendations for stronger impact and sharing lessons learned.
  • Support the planning and execution of internal and external communications, as needed.
  • Proactively identify new and enhanced ways for the Communications & Brand Strategy team to support Jabil’s employee and business needs.
  • Coordinate additional projects in support of Jabil’s employee and business needs, as needed.
  • May perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Currently in pursuit of a Bachelor’s degree with a graduation date between December 2022 to May 2024 or a Master’s degree with a graduation date between December 2022 to May 2023
  • Preferred majors: communications, public relations, journalism, marketing or other related degrees
  • Be available full-time for 10-12 weeks over the summer, depending on academic calendars
  • Strong academic performance (3.0 or better GPA); demonstrated leadership experience through extracurricular activities
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Highly organized with attention to detail
  • Adhere to all safety and health rules and regulations associated with this position and as directed by your supervisor
  • Comply and follow all procedures within the company security policy
