JOB SUMMARY

  • Oversees and manages the operational aspects of ongoing programs and projects.

  • Manages status of projects and budgets; schedules and reviews projects updates.

  • Addresses complex project issues and works with the engineers, managers, customers, and suppliers to develop resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and customer goals and objectives.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manages multiple projects with the use of direct reports to ensure project results meet requirements regarding quality, reliability, schedule, cost, and technical requirements.

  • Works with assigned Program Manager(s) to satisfy customer expectations.

  • Problem solving with engineers, managers, customers, and suppliers.

  • Establishes project strategy, executes the plan and measures results.

  • Prepares and delivers presentations to senior management around project status, constraints, and critical issues and helps facilitate the adoption of best practices.

  • Coordinate and publish change plans.

  • Directs and coordinates activities of personnel to ensure project progress on schedule and within the prescribed budget.

  • Have a thorough understanding of design reviews.

  • Interviews, hires, and trains employees; plans, assigns and directs work; conducts performance appraisals; rewards and disciplines employees; addresses complaints and resolves problems.

  • Ensures compliance with all company policies and practices in areas such as safety and all regulatory compliance.

  • Anticipates opportunities for proactive solutions.  Manage conflict situations to result in win-win outcomes.

  • Support all company safety and quality programs and initiatives.

  • Responsible for the employment cycle, performance and compensation management, and training and development for assigned direct reports.

  • Other responsibilities may be assigned from time to time as needed, based on the evolution of the company and the requirements of the department/position.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s Engineering degree with 8-10 years of experience with at least 5 years managerial/supervisory experience OR

  • Master’s degree with 6-8 years of experience with at least 3 years managerial/supervisory experience

  • Sterile packaging and/or medical device experience highly preferred

  • Must have engineering management experience, preferably within an FDA regulated production facility

  • Demonstrated knowledge & experience with manufacturing processes and equipment, preferably machining and cold heading

  • ISO 13485 medical device new program engineering support experience preferred

  • Project leadership experience within a manufacturing, development or research environment

  • Understanding of the requirements specified by the FDA, OSHA, ISO, QS, and governmental agencies

  • Proven ability to solve problems

The anticipated pay range for this role is $81,517 - $118,014 - $154,621. Job-related, non-discriminatory factors used to determine the actual offered rate include qualifications and experience, geographic location, education, external market data, and consideration of internal equity.
