Under limited supervision, and representing Supply Chain Management, this person will be responsible for leading complex programs for Regional or Business specific customers utilizing established Supply Chain tools and processes. This person will work closely with A&T Divisional Supply Chain, the Business Unit, Design Centers & Customer to drive operational, financial and business success by ensuring that SC targets are met and both Jabil and customer strategies are aligned.


·         Responsible for all the Supply Chain deliverables identified in the Product Creation Process (PCP), acting as primary Supply Chain liaison between Supply Chain, Design, BU and Customer ·         Coordinates Supply Chain activities for all phases of PCP execution. Clearly and regularly communicate the program's needs to Commodity Management, Supplier Development, Design Centers, Program Management and the Business Unit to ensure that Jabil provides supply chain solutions that foster success ·         Develops, manages & accountable for SCM specific project plan and the execution of cost, quality & timing with support of Commodity Management, Supplier Development / Quality and other contributing functions ·         Utilize defined tools to monitor project cost and cost trends, striving to continuously improve value to the customer considering business strategic direction ·         Performs situational analysis, strategy development, guidance and implementation for the functional disciplines of supply chain development, procurement, and logistics ·         Performs cost estimating on a variety of custom engineered materials (sheet metal, stage/progressive die, machining, plastic injected molded) along with estimating applicable tool costs ·         In collaboration with design engineers/customer/BU project management, determines the most cost effective manufacturing process for a variety of custom applications ·         Manages quotation activities including part cost, tooling and NRE (as required) for all new & existing product development opportunities utilizing quote team as appropriate and provide necessary communication internally and to customer ·         Identifies and facilitates the qualification of new, alternate and/or localized suppliers for key applicable needs relative to program requirements with the support of Commodity Management ·         Negotiates favorable pricing, payment terms, rebates and advanced supply chain optimization programs such as supplier-owned inventory, Just-in-Time delivery schedules, reduced lead times and cancellation terms, return privileges, and EDI/SIS demand communication with key suppliers with key suppliers fall outside of Jabil's strategic supplier base with support of Commodity Management ·         In collaboration with Commodity Management, leads the effort to obtain full commodity and sourcing control of BOM and AVL in the design phase ·         Through early design involvement and qualification of alternate suppliers on existing products, promotes the use of Jabil's Strategic Suppliers ·         Identifies, coordinates and assists as necessary on-site supplier evaluations to determine supplier manufacturing capability to support various custom manufacturing processes ·         Performs Design For Manufacturability (DFM) reviews prior to design release for a variety of custom engineered applications ·         Coordinate with the purchasing community to ensure pricing implementation that increase the efficiency of Jabil's global price administration process and allow Jabil to stay in front of our competition from a supply chain management standpoint ·         Forge successful relationships with the purchasing community and suppliers to work and apply new negotiated prices ·         Assist Business Units in identifying cost reduction opportunities for sourced components ·         Work with management to ensure the acquisition of all components is on schedule until such time as a transition plan has been executed to move product into production ·         Works with commodity management to establish procurement strategies that support the acquisition of materials for new or transfer products providing technical input as required ·         Assist Business Units in identifying make/buy opportunities for custom components as well as value added assemblies ·         Help in performing value analysis/value engineering (VA/VE) on new or existing products in a cooperative effort with various engineering groups, the suppliers and quality assurance ·         Executes Jabil's Early Supplier Involvement program ·         Ensure 100% adherence to all company policies and procedures (i.e. Health and Safety, Quality, Ethics, Security & Confidentiality) ·         May perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned


·         Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Engineering or related field; and 10 years’ experience; or possess the equivalent combination of education and experience ·         Strong electro / mechanical background desired; knowledge of plastic injection molding & tooling, metal stampings & tooling, metal fabrication, machining and various electrical components, connectors, PCB & PCBA, cable assembly, full assembly integration etc. ·         Mature working knowledge of IATF 16949 & VDA 6.3 Quality systems requirements & AIAG Core Tools ·         Experience working directly within OEM or Tier 1 Automotive with proven execution to identify and develop supply chain solutions  ·         Knowledge or experience working with budgets as well as project management skills including scheduling and resource allocation forecasting ·         Advanced PC skills including proficient knowledge of various software applications including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio and Project ·         Ability to read, analyze, interpret and communicate common scientific and/or technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents ·         Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community ·         Ability to effectively present information to top management, public groups, and/or boards of directors; Fluent in spoken and written English ·         Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists ·         Periodic travel to customer, vendor and/or Jabil sites is required; must be willing to travel internationally
