Optical Designer (m/f/d) for the development of opto-electro-mechanical systems
Your Responsibilities
- creating optical designs for complex optoelectronic systems
- design for manufacture and design for costs
- development of optical basic concepts for customer quotations and cost calculation
- close cooperation with the (global) engineering teams and support of the project manager and system architect in conception phase
- assistance in production process, assembly and measurement
- exploring new application and technology fields: analysis of the state-of-the-art/ involvement in trade fairs and congresses around the world
Your Requirements
- Master's degree in optical engineering or equivalent
- experience in creating complex optical system design in industrial environment
- professional knowledge in one simulation software (ZEMAX, CodeV)
- solid fundamental knowledge of methods such as tolerance and reflex calculation, simulation, light technology, temperature analysis, creation of data sheets
- tool/ software programming (ZEMAX, CodeV)
- expert knowledge in optical math’s calculation
- self-organized and analytical work culture
- expert business and technical English proficiency
