JOB SUMMARY
o Responsible for assembling and /or producing products according to detailed manufacturing processes. Accountable for adhering to all quality and safety guidelines.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Under supervision and in accordance with all applicable international, federal, state and local laws/regulations/requirements and Corporate Johnson & Johnson, procedures and guidelines, this position:
o Perform medical device assembly work using microscope and small hand tools such as tweezers, and razor blade in a cleanroom environment.
o Understand and apply all manufacturing procedures and other necessary documentation as it relates to the product line.
o Work with assigned equipment and recognize mechanical problems as they arise.
o Comply with all safety, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).
o Administers in process quality checks and tests on sub-assemblies and finished products.
o Works with production supervisor and/or engineers to resolve line issues and suggest improvements and preventative measures.
o Performs basic maintenance on tools or equipment and notifies supervisor of needed repairs.
o Support Lead in the line on tasks like taking inventory, reading of equipment, etc.
o Provide training to other team members as requested by Line Lead, Supervisor or Manager.
o Work with engineers in building engineering test units.
o Ensure that station is always audit ready.
o Attendance and Punctuality – consistently at work and on time.
o Dependability – Follows instructions, respond to management direction; Takes responsibility to own actions; Keeps commitments; complete tasks correctly and on time or notifies appropriate person with an alternate plan.
o Set high standard for integrity and ethical conduct for self; Treat others with respect.

o Must strive to increase productivity.
o Responsible for communicating business related issues or opportunities to next management level.
Work

For those who supervise or manage a staff, responsible for ensuring that subordinates follow all Company guidelines related to Health, Safety and Environmental practices and that all resources needed to do so are available and in good condition, if applicable.
o Responsible for ensuring personal and Company compliance with all International, Federal, State, local and Company regulations, requirements, policies, and procedures.
o Performs other duties assigned as needed.
EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION
o Experience in the Medical Device industry or medical field.
o Demonstrated knowledge of manufacturing principles and practices, and procedures.
o Experience using medical device equipment.
o High School diploma or equivalent.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES, CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSES and AFFILIATIONS.
o Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
o Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers.
o Ability to apply basic measuring techniques including scales, rulers, metric and U.S.
measurements.
o Ability to work cooperatively with co-workers.
o Ability to perform duties in accordance with policies and procedures.
o Ability to work in the line with very minimal supervision.
o Computer Skills: Basic knowledge in computer - accessing email, training and documents via company network.
o Preferred Experience: 6 - 8 years related experience; previous experience in medical device assembly; Solder experience; and General knowledge of cleanroom practices and procedures.
o Working knowledge of applicable requirements related to the MDSAP jurisdictions
