JOB SUMMARY

  • Lead highly integration of electrical hardware development with strict management and innovation
  • Developing self and others included non-electrical through self-awareness, continuous learning and
  • investing time and resources in others to enable electrical team to do their best work
  • Initiative to make rational and thoughtful decisions when provided too much or too little data.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Be a superior leader in approaching and engaging high potential businesses on consumer mobiledevice,
  • smart home and low-cost package solution.
  • Leads/supervises to deeply dive cross-functional product hardware architecture and complicated PCB
  • layout designs utilizing standard tools
  • Directs all aspects of electronics circuit design with minimal supervision
  • Partners with system architects to review and clarify design requirements and define the appropriate
  • hardware architecture
  • Expertly assemble prototypes, first article bring-up, functional verification and failure analysis
  • Synergy with component suppliers or solution players in market and regularly trace their technical
  • roadmap
  • Communicates technical aspects of a project effectively to customers
  • Expertise to specify key parameter of innovations and potential patentable solutions
  • Leads resolution of complex design issues and manages design changes with trade-offs or at risk

MANAGEMENT & SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Directly responsible for managing other P-level employees (e.g., hiring/termination and/or pay decisions, performance management).


JOB QUALIFICATIONS
KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS

  • TECHNICAL KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS
  • Hardware Architecture Capabilities to work out multiple functionalities into mobile devices such as
  • LMR(2way Radio), smart-phone, tablet, AR/VR, wearable, smart home and low-cost package…et
  • Electrical Design Capabilities to develop schematic and bring up support for innovative Mobile devices
  • Familiar with SI/PI and SiP in design development
  • Sense of analyzing BOM cost structure paved RFx development
  • Failure analysis in manufacturing process
  • PCB Design knowledge to evolved rigid PCB process such as mSAP and multi-layer FPC
  • Detailed knowledge and use of key development tools and design standards: Component derating,
  • DFMEA, oscilloscopes, multi-meters, simulation tools, etc.
  • Ability to review and critique electrical system designs for availability, quality control, constructability and cost

NON-TECHNICAL KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS

  • Influence others and share best practices
  • Effectively communicate with excellent understanding of English.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

  • Electrical Engineering Degree (BSEE/MSEE or equivalent experience)
  • 12+ years experience in embedded hardware design or other key competency
  • Minimum of 2 years experience as a Lead Engineer
  • Or an equivalent combination of education, training or experience.
  • Accept long travel time 3 weeks to 2 months
  • Excellent English communication, coordination and presentation

Job content

(1)Leader in developing and validating embedded hardware design applications.
(2)Leads/supervises embedded hardware design and PCB layout designs utilizing standard tools
(3)Directs all aspects of electronics circuit design with minimal supervision
(4)Mentors/coaches/trains engineers with less experience
(5)Partners with system architects to review and clarify design requirements and define the appropriate EE architecture.
(6)Expertly assemble prototypes, design first powerup, design debug and functional circuit verification.
(7)Work with and manage external component suppliers/manufacturers and provide input to their product roadmaps.
(8)Communicates technical aspects of a project effectively to customers.
(9)Define design innovations and potential patentable solutions

Requirements:

-Electrical Engineering Degree (BSEE/MSEE/PhD or equivalent experience)
-8+ years experience in embedded hardware design or other key competency.
-Or an equivalent combination of education, training or experience.
